Sound Feelings Extra-Hard Toothbrush

Adult Extra-Hard Toothbrush — “Smoker’s Toothbrush”

Plain toothbrush EXTRA HARD

WARNING: THESE TOOTHBRUSHES ARE REALLY, REALLY HARD! WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE GUM DAMAGE. (THEY CAN ALSO BE USED FOR FOR CLEANING TILE AND GROUT.)

HOWEVER, EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY “NOT FOR TEETH” THEY DO HAVE END-ROUNDED BRISTLES AND YOU MAY USE THEM FOR TEETH!

RE: THE “NOT FOR TEETH” WARNING, WE DECIDED THAT IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY, AS A PRECAUTION. FOR EXAMPLE, IF SOMEONE FINDS IT LAYING AROUND WHO MAY NOT HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED, THEY MIGHT INJURE THEIR GUMS. JUST BE VERY CAREFUL NEAR THE GUM LINE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR GUMS. CONSIDER USING AN ADDITIONAL SOFT TOOTHBRUSH ON THOSE AREAS.

Extra Firm old-fashioned, flat, plain toothbrushes for removing stains from teeth and cleaning dentures. If you are looking for a super hard toothbrush, you have found it! The flat surface is known to provide superior cleaning as it makes optimal contact. The Sound Feelings extra-hard toothbrushes are perfect as a smoker’s toothbrush but also for anyone else who requires a tool that provides how to remove stains from teeth. Generally, in order to remove brown stains on teeth, you should use an extra hard toothbrush along with some good whitening toothpaste. Then you have a chance to remove cigarette stains and other yellow stains on teeth. Tobacco stains on teeth sometimes result in thick layers of black tar which require vigorous brushing with a stiff-bristle brush. Next time you smile, you don’t want people to see smokers’ teeth or smoke-stained teeth. This toothbrush is also excellent for removing stains on dentures.

“Just writing in with an update. I’ve been working with a variety of your toothbrushes for awhile now and just wanted to say that the extra-hard brushes are, hands down, the absolute BEST for my fragile, receding gums and tooth sensitivity! First, some background. Like everything else I buy, good toothbrushes kept disappearing from the store racks. I’m not sure how it all works, but it seems as if the CEOs scan my receipts looking for products to discontinue. If I buy it, it disappears quickly. For years, I would get the most boring toothbrushes on the rack. A year later, they’d be gone and rock-n-roll toothbrushes would replace them. Despite my best efforts, I found myself using bizarrely shaped brushes with bright stripes, rubber nubs and maybe a few sprigs of actual bristles thrown in just to fool me. My teeth got grungy and my gums receded badly because the fancy brushes simply would not clean. I went to the dentist, who didn’t have much to offer that was constructive. I stumbled across your brushes as I searched the web desperately for a solution. They were a vast improvement, but the soft bristles really didn’t get my teeth clean enough. So I was juggling between brushes. Finally one day, I got your X-Hard brush, the one marked “Not for teeth!” I figured, “what do I have to lose?” At first, brushing required careful attention so that I didn’t hurt my gums. But I noticed that those stubborn deposits of yuck at the base of my back molars were gone on the first brushing! What’s more remarkable is that my gums are less sensitive now, less red and seem to be returning! What’s more, the random sensitivity I endured for so many, many years has gone!! Here’s what I think is going on. Your gum line is an interesting area where your tooth enamel thins out and the gums begin. In this area, the nerve is closer to the surface of the tooth and easier to sensitize. The rock-n-roll brushes always have elongated bristles in this area, which causes all the problems I was experiencing. If you’ve ever used a dish brush, you know that bristles clean most effectively when they are almost straight up and down, as opposed to being over-compressed and flattened out. The long bristles on the rock-n-roll brushes flatten out along the gum line and don’t clean. This allows bacteria to flourish, eating at your gums. Worse, the long bristles act like countless little spears stabbing at your gums where they are most delicate. Finally, the bristles over-stimulate the tooth in this area where the enamel is thin, leading to sensitivity. It’s almost as if the fancy brushes are specially designed to wreak the most havoc on your teeth. By contrast, the bristles on your flat brushes flatten in the middle of the tooth surface. Along the gum line, they remain relatively straight, which yields maximal cleaning and minimal over-stimulation. THANK YOU for supplying something I need without playing the dumb games.”
